Soccer Talk. [No.5]

Spain and Greece tied. And honestly, the game was extremely boring, although I didn't fall asleep. Morientes finally did something effective, and I didn't see much of Casillas, and the only time I was him so many times on the telly was when he'd let in the goal by Charisteas. Sigh. Why is that since I started watching the matches, my favourite teams have started tieing with the opposing team? Perhaps I shouldn't watch? Whatever. And, when I watched the match, there was a queer consistency in Greece. It's like, I would expect Greece to do this move and they do it. The Spanish are revolving around the Greeks who, to my utter horror, can play good man!

Time for discrimination: I still think Spain shouldn've have won. Look at me! Prince William's cousin speaking here! So listen to me ya'll! Spain should have definitely won.

And I have realised that the Spanish team has included a lot of young guns recently. So many of them are young, like 20 years of age. And this guy, Joaquim (pronounced as Yo-ah-quim) is rather good you know? But Raul still rules. He's the guy with sportsmanship extraordinaire. Germany's game was still more entertaining. I guess the Dutch bring out the best in them.

Haoshibai! Sorry, listened to too much Beachboys.

And as expected, Portugal beat Russia. No biggie. The biggie is Greece. Their Euro2004 campaign is going on really well! Never in the world have I heard of the Greece team being good. Boo!

I now totally hope that

  • Germany will win Czech Republic and Latvia
  • Spain will somehow win Portugal
  • So that my favourite teams will be in the quarter finals.
  • And they won't meet until maybe, in the semi-finals.
  • What a dream.
  • I've been so slacking mans. Homework lost (seriously speaking) and homework recovered undone.

    Gotta go. Homework calls.
